Maison Mathis Arabian Ranches is seeking a talented and disciplined Commis I to join our culinary team. As a premier destination for European-inspired dining under Creneau Hospitality, we are looking for a chef who is passionate about high-quality ingredients, precision in cooking, and maintaining a high-energy kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in the daily preparation and service of European cuisine.
- Maintain a high standard of food quality, consistency, and presentation across all dishes.
- Prepare ingredients (mise-en-place) efficiently to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Adhere strictly to Dubai Municipality food safety and HACCP hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in the organized storage of all food items.
- Ensure the workstation is kept clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to minimize waste and optimize production.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commis I or II in a high-volume, professional kitchen in the UAE.
- Strong technical skills in European cooking techniques and flavor profiles.
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and plating guides accurately.
- Professional culinary training or a diploma in Culinary Arts is preferred.
- Resilient attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
- Immediate availability to join the team in Arabian Ranches.
